The Three Ayurvedic Mindsets
There are three main Ayurvedic mindsets: traditional, modern, and hybrid.
Traditional vaidyas view the pancamahabhutas, doshas, and prakriti as the ancients did. They have little regard for methodological naturalism and modern clinical methods.
Modern practitioners represent a minority, but a growing and influential one. They are more open to scientific inquiry and evidence-based medicine.
Hybrid practitioners combine elements of both traditional and modern Ayurveda.
