Reforming the IMF
This article discusses two proposals for reforming the International Monetary Fund (IMF):
- Changing the arrangement whereby Executive Directors reside in Washington so that the senior official dealing with Fund issues in a country’s capital can serve as that country’s Executive Director.
- Rationalizing European representation in the IMF by bringing the composition of the Board into better alignment with the relative economic importance of individual IMF members.
