Leaf Springs and Cup Springs

This document describes the representation of leaf springs and cup springs in engineering drawings.

The different types of leaf springs are semi-elliptic, semi-elliptic with eyelets, semi-elliptic with center band, and semi-elliptic with eyelets and center band.

Leaf springs are represented in engineering drawings by a title view, which shows the spring in its entirety. The title view should also show the eyelets, center band, and any other features of the spring.

The specifications for eyelets, center bands, and multi-elliptic springs are as follows:

  • Eyelets should be represented by circles with a diameter of 2 mm.
  • Center bands should be represented by a solid line.
  • Multi-elliptic springs should be represented by a series of semi-elliptic springs connected together.
