Kolb’s Learning Cycle
Kolb’s learning cycle is a four-stage process that describes how people learn from their experiences.
The four stages are:
- Concrete experience
- Reflective observation
- Abstract conceptualization
- Active experimentation
Kolb also identified four learning styles, which are based on the two dimensions of the learning cycle:
- Diverging
- Assimilating
- Converging
- Accommodating
