Foreshortening in Art
Foreshortening is a technique of drawing objects so that they appear to be receding into the distance.
There are two methods for creating foreshortening:
- The Doohinkus Method
- The Parallel Lines Method
The Doohinkus Method involves thinking of the object as a series of blocks that are fitted together.
The Parallel Lines Method involves projecting a profile view of the object onto a front view.
