Adding Details to a Green Apple Painting

To add details to a green apple painting, you will use a #2 filbert brush and work from dark to midtone to light. You will start with the darkest dark of the red stripe, then add a midtone, and finally a light highlight.

Impasto Painting

Impasto painting is a technique where you apply paint thickly to the canvas. To impasto paint, you will use a palette knife to apply paint to the canvas in thick strokes.
